THE LORE

"“Then Sir Bedivere threw the sword into the water as far as he might.”
(Thomas Malory, Le Morte d’Arthur)"

This is the tragedy of loyalty.

The field is quiet now, the Round Table broken, Arthur bleeding toward legend.
Into Bedivere’s hands falls Excalibur, bright as the oath that once bound a fellowship together.
Twice he hides it, unwilling to watch the symbol of all they were sink into nameless water.
Yet a king’s word is a weight no true knight can ignore.

This is the end of their era, the end of the Arthurian Legends.

The command speaks this end and the heart reluctantly has to obey, even if it means that glory and honor will fade into oblivion and be no more.
