THE LORE
"The blade slid free from the demon’s chest with a wet hiss, and Valeria let it fall silent at her side.
The fight was over, but the silence that followed felt heavier than the struggle itself.
She did not look at the creature’s face — there was no need. They were all the same now, endless shapes of the same darkness.
Once, she had hunted with purpose, chasing the hope of saving her sister.
That hope had died on the edge of this very blade.
What remained was habit, duty without meaning, a ritual that kept her walking the night.
In the dark sheen of her reflection against the blade, a question lingered: if even the righteous faith of the Church of Dawn had burned to ashes, what could her hand alone defy?
She saw no victory, only fragments of a life lost, and the endless night still waiting ahead.
Valeria lives two centuries after Hell was unleashed by Revna upon the world.
Trained by a now-fallen order, she is the last of their hunters, moving from province to province to stalk demons, vampires, and the Branded Knights of the Dark Queen.
Once, she hoped to save her sister, only to find her turned into a vampire spawn and forced to end her herself.
Now she continues the hunt without purpose, questioning the fallen faith of the once glorious order of Paladins of Dawn.
In time, her path will cross with Iensi the Demon Hunter. She will help the half-demon in her quest of finding the truth and secrets of the Dark Queen, but in the end, only one of them will rise to face her dark powers.
